Job summary

San Miguel Properties, Inc. (SMPI), the real estate arm of San Miguel Corporation (SMC), seeks a Business Development Associate to support budget planning and financial analysis for strategic planning.

The role assists in budget preparation and consolidation of strategic plans. It requires at least three years of experience in Business Development or Strategic Planning, with strong analytical and research skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in budget preparation and consolidation of strategic plans.
• Monitors and prepares monthly analysis of actual revenues and expenditures versus budget.
• Updates and submits to Corporate Financial Planning such as financial projections and CAPEX schedules.
• Prepares presentations for Management such as mid-year budget review and budget presentation.
• Prepares financial studies for proposed projects.
• Conducts market scans to determine lease rates or selling prices for properties.
• Prepares regular updates on the property market.
• Acts as project coordinator and monitors project progress when necessary.

The Business Development Associate is tasked to assist in budget planning and monitoring; and in providing financial analysis that would be of value to the company's strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Assists in budget preparation and in consolidation of strategic plans of the company.
• Monitors and prepares monthly analysis of actual revenues and expenditures versus approved budget.
• Updates and regularly submits required submissions to Corporate Financial Planning such as financial projections, CAPEX schedule, various financial rations, etc.
• Assists in preparation of presentations to Management such as, but not limited to, mid-year budget review and budget presentation.
• Prepares financial study for proposed projects.
• Conducts market scan to determine recommended lease rates and/or selling price of certain properties.
• Prepares regular updates on the property market.
• Acts as project coordinator and monitors progress of the project, when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance / Financial Management or Business Management / Administration and/or Accountancy.
• Must have at least three years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Planning, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Experience in budget planning and financial modelling is a plus.
• Understanding of financial statements is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
