Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Finance Controller for its Philippines operations in Taguig. You will command all entity and project finance activities, ensuring accurate accounting, timely closing, and compliant tax handling while coordinating with HQ and regional teams.

The role requires at least 5 years in project controlling, strong accounting skills, and proficiency in Excel with data analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a project analyst/controller.
• Finance/ Business/ Accounting degree required.
• Core skills: accounting, project controlling, financial forecasting & statistical analysis.
• Secondary skills: financial modelling, data analytics.
• Advanced Excel and reporting tools (Power Query/Power BI) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Philippines entity and project-related financials, including structure, financials, audit, cash flow planning, reporting, budgeting and strategy.
• Serve as main finance contact in Philippines liaising with HQ/region finance and local service providers.
• Prepare/review full sets of accounts, bank reconciliations, month-end closing.
• Prepare/review quarterly and yearly statutory and management accounts.
• Ensure timely payments to suppliers, intercompany loans, and employee reimbursements; obtain necessary authorizations.
• Review corporate tax returns, VAT, and other tax documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with business development and project teams on monthly budget/forecast, project performance tracking and cash flow monitoring.

Job Description

• Responsible for all Philippines entity and project-related matters including but not limited to project/entity structure, financialsfinancials, audit, cashflowcashflow planning, reporting process, planning, budgeting, and overall strategy
• Main contact person in Philippines to support liaise with HQ/region finance, local service providers on all Finance related matters
• Prepare and/or review full sets of accounts, bank reconciliation, month-end closing requirements
• Prepare and/or review quarter-end and year-end statutory and management accounts
• Ensure on time payment of supplier's invoice, intercompanyintercompany loans and employee's reimbursements and liquidations with corresponding complete authorization
• authorizationReview corporate tax returns, VAT, and other tax-related documents for accuracy and compliance
• Partner business development and project team to provide timely and accurate monthly entity budget/forecast, project performance tracking as well as cashflow cashflowmonitoring and reporting
• Support process and reporting improvement effort, including process streamlining, data structure standardization,standardization system implementation and reporting automation, etc.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Controller should have:

• Prior experience of at least 5 years as a project analyst/project controller
• Education: Finance/ Business/ Accounting Graduate, min 5 years'years' experience
• Core technical skills: Accounting, project controlling, financial forecasting & statistical analysis
• Secondary technical skills (desired): financial modelling, data analytics
• analyticsComputer literacy: Advanced excel and other reporting tools such as Power Querry,Querry Power BI would be highly desired
• Soft skills: analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive, good communication and presentation skills, meticulous, organized/organized systematic, able to present financial information to a non-financial audience
• Traits: Team player, hardworking, hands-on, confident, flexible, able to look at process improvement and has a positive learning attitude
