Job summary

GCash is seeking a Business Continuity Manager to lead BCM activities and strengthen organizational resilience in the Philippines.

You will partner with business, enabling, and governance teams to identify critical processes, validate recovery requirements, and develop continuity plans. The role emphasizes testing, reporting, and continuous improvement of BCM practices within a fast‑growing FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, IT, or related field.
• At least 5 years' experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of BCMS and continuity practices.
• Experience with BIAs, BCPs, and continuity strategy development.
• Familiarity with ISO 22301 and BSP risk-related requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support BCM activities across assigned entities.
• Conduct and review BIAs and validate critical processes and recovery requirements.
• Guide teams in developing and maintaining BC Plans.
• Coordinate cross-unit continuity plans to enterprise-wide plans.
• Facilitate plan testing, exercises, and post-exercise reviews.
• Track gaps, risks, and actions and report to leadership.
• Mentor BPCM Leads and support continuity activities.
• Ensure activities align with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of BCM processes and documentation.

The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for leading and supporting business continuity management across the organization. The role works closely with business, enabling, and governance teams to identify critical processes and risks, develop and maintain continuity plans, conduct business impact assessments, and facilitate testing and exercises to ensure the organization is prepared for potential disruptions.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead and support end-to-end Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities across assigned business entities.

• Conduct and review Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and validate critical processes, resources, and recovery requirements.

• Guide business teams in developing, reviewing, and maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).

• Consolidate and align unit-level continuity plans into entity-wide business continuity plans.

• Facilitate business continuity plan testing, simulation exercises, and post-exercise reviews.

• Track and report gaps, risks, and action items to relevant leaders and stakeholders.

• Partner with business, enabling, and governance teams to strengthen organizational resilience.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to BPCM Leads and support continuity activities across assigned business clusters.

• Lead or support BCM workstreams such as governance, documentation, training and awareness, exercising, and audit and compliance.

• Ensure BCM activities are aligned with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

• Support continuous improvement of business continuity processes, frameworks, and practices.
  

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, crisis management, or related areas.

• Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) and business continuity practices.

• Proven experience in conducting Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Planning, and continuity strategy development.

• Working knowledge of ISO 22301 or other recognized business continuity standards.

• Knowledge of relevant BSP regulations and requirements related to risk management and business continuity is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.

• Strong project and program management skills.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable.

• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

• Business Continuity or Risk Management certification is a plus.
