Job summary

ABSI in Subic, Philippines is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure reliable operation of facilities and equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, energy-saving initiatives, and monitoring utilities to optimize operating costs.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, be a registered ME/ECE, and hold 2–3 years of Mall/Retail or property management experience. On-site work in Subic with department oversight by Facilities/Property Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer or Registered Electrical Engineer.
• 2–3 years of experience in Mall/Retail or Property Management industries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment and facilities operate reliably and cost-effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Implement energy-conservation measures and monitor utilities.
• Track work requests and communicate status.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Prepare estimates and scope of works for various projects.
• Oversee safety programs to reduce liability.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of technical briefs and documentation.
