JOB SUMMARY
The Broadcast Officer is responsible for executing live production streams, managing master control media feeds, and capturing high-impact video content for Newport World Resorts’ entertainment marketing initiatives. This role bridges technical live video switching with brand storytelling—delivering broadcast-quality streams, promotional show feeds, and post-event highlights across digital channels, internal resort screens, and media partners to drive venue awareness and patron engagement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Live Show & Event Coverage
- Coordinate and operate live multi-camera setups for concerts, red-carpet launches, press events, and marketing activations across Newport World Resorts venues.
- Manage live streaming across official online channels (e.g., Facebook, YouTube) and internal resort screens, ensuring clean video, branded graphics, and seamless playback.
- Coordinate video feeds with the Master Control Room (MCR) to broadcast live show highlights directly onto casino floor screens and property display walls.
Promotional Video Content & Editing
- Record high-quality footage of live performances, celebrity appearances, and resort entertainment events for marketing archives.
- Edit quick-turnaround video recaps, event teasers, and sizzle reels for social media channels and promotional campaigns.
- Organize and maintain a clean media library of all entertainment footage and broadcast assets for the Marketing team.
Setup & Equipment Preparation
- Prepare, set up, and test cameras, video switchers, and streaming gear before events to ensure everything is ready for live production.
- Perform pre-event checks on video feeds and graphics to ensure high visual quality that reflects the resort’s brand.
- Perform basic gear maintenance and report any damaged or faulty video equipment for immediate repair.
Marketing & Event Collaboration
- Work closely with the Social Media, PR, and Brand teams to ensure live video coverage aligns with promotional goals and campaign messaging.
- Assist external media partners and production teams during joint event broadcasts or special coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, Mass Communication, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in live broadcast switching, streaming production, or video creation for events, media networks, or marketing teams.
- Practical experience operating live video switchers and broadcast camera setups.
- Familiarity with live streaming setups, video signal flow, and delivering content across digital platforms and internal venue displays.
- Excellent composure under pressure during live events and strong collaboration skills with marketing, PR, and event teams.
- Willingness to work on a flexible shift schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the resort's entertainment lineup.
