Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer with 5–8 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on bridge structural analysis, detailed design, and design reviews for major projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MIDAS, STAAD, and ETABS is expected, with a strong emphasis on technical reporting and client coordination. Experience with codes and standards, project management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering with 5–8 years bridge experience.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage for the role.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards and design practices for bridges.
• Experience in calculations, reports and design documentation preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
• Must have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in bridge design and engineering.
• Strong experience in bridge structural analysis, detailed design, and design review of bridge projects.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and design practices.
• Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MIDAS, STAAD, ETABS, or similar tools.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and design documentation is preferred.
• Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to support projects across various locations as required.
