Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking an Assistant Business Manager to oversee branch operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely service across all customer segments.

The ABM will lead transaction processing, risk management, and people development while upholding policies, KYC standards, and regulatory requirements; a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in branch banking are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in branch banking operations.
• Experience in people management.

Responsibilities

• Approve branch transactions within authority limits and obtain approvals for beyond scope.
• Review and approve deposits, withdrawals, FX, remittances, checkbook requests, etc.
• Approve account openings and customer record updates.
• Ensure complete KYC and transaction documentation.
• Monitor time deposit maturities and conduct enhanced due diligence when needed.
• Ensure strong audit ratings and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct branch risk assessments and address control gaps.
• Submit regulatory reports (e.g., STRs, crime/loss reports).
• Acts as custodian for cash‑in‑vault and accountable items.
• Ensure accurate balancing, timely reconciliation, and proper safekeeping of branch records.
• Monitor receivables, provisions for losses, and renewal of permits.
• Oversees branch facilities, security, housekeeping, and FFE inventory.
• Manage end‑to‑end customer experience within the branch.
• Address inquiries, concerns, and complaints within prescribed TAT.
• Ensure strong customer satisfaction scores.
• Supports initiatives under the Bank’s consumer protection program.
• Leads and supervises branch personnel; sets goals and provides continuous coaching.
• Ensures staff training, certifications, and performance reviews.
• Recommends promotions and manages disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Oversees staff rotation, scheduling, and developmental opportunities.
• Performs additional functions that may be assigned from time to time.
