Job summary

Bayside Advisory Pty Ltd seeks an offshore Bookkeeper in the Philippines with Australian bookkeeping experience to join our growing team. You will perform bank reconciliations, coding in Xero/MYOB, manage AP/AR, BAS/IAS prep, invoicing, and client file maintenance while working remotely to Australian business hours.

You’ll report to an Australian-based Principal and collaborate with a supportive, established team to deliver accurate accounting services to our client firms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bookkeeping experience with an Australian accounting firm
• Graduate BS Accountancy or Accounting related Degree
• Strong Xero experience

Responsibilities

• Develop process for ongoing bookkeeping clients (information requests, checklists, ATO compliance etc)
• Bank reconciliations for the firm and for client businesses
• Coding transactions and maintaining accurate general ledgers in Xero / MYOB
• Processing supplier invoices and accounts payable
• Preparing and issuing invoices and following up accounts receivable
• Assisting with BAS and IAS preparation
• Reviewing ASIC messages and other correspondence
• Maintaining clean, up to date client files ready for our accountants to review

Bayside Advisory is looking for an offshore Bookkeeper with Australian bookkeeping experience to join our growing Philippines based team working with our group of accounting firms. We are an established accounting firm with over four decades of excellence in service to our clients.

This role covers both our own company books and the books of our business clients. We require at least 2 years' experience working with an Australian accounting firm, with the scope to further train and grow you into more complex work over time.

You will report directly to an Australian based Principal and work alongside our established and supportive team of over a dozen Philippines staff. This role allows you the freedom to work from home. You will have strong communication skills, and be able to work Australian Eastern Time working hours.

Duties:

• Develop process for ongoing bookkeeping clients (information requests, checklists, ATO compliance etc)

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• Ability to work independently and manage several sets of books at once
