Job summary

TOA Global is seeking a highly organized Bookkeeper & Accounting Support Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a distributed portfolio of U.S. SMBs. You will work under U.S.-based CPAs and support the Fractional CFO team using QuickBooks Online.

The role emphasizes accurate data integrity, month-end closings, and KPI/cash-flow reporting, with a fully remote, night-shift schedule in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or client accounting experience supporting U.S.-based businesses.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online; exposure to Xero is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly and monthly bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
• Support Fractional CFO reporting with KPI dashboards, cash flow forecasting, and metrics tracking.
• Ensure client books are accurate and closed on schedule for month-end/year-end.
• Escalate anomalies requiring advisor review and provide reliable data for client meetings.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Accounting Support Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes for a diverse portfolio of U.S. small and mid-sized businesses. Under the direction of U.S.-based CPAs and advisors, you will maintain financial data integrity in QuickBooks Online and provide vital execution support to the firm's Fractional CFO team.

Your Impact

• Bookkeeping & General Accounting: Perform weekly and monthly bookkeeping, record and categorize journal entries, execute bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations, maintain accurate general ledgers, and support clean-up or catch-up projects.
• Fractional CFO Reporting Support: Assist the advisory team by updating Budget vs. Actual reports, maintaining KPI dashboards and cash flow forecasting schedules, populating firm templates, and tracking revenue, profitability, labor, and payroll metrics.
• Financial Integrity & Close: Ensure client books are accurate, reconciled, and completed on schedule for month-end and year-end closes with minimal corrections required.
• Advisory Collaboration: Escalate financial anomalies requiring professional advisor review and provide reliable financial data to support strategic client meetings and recommendations.

What You Bring

• The Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or client accounting experience supporting U.S.-based businesses, ideally within a U.S. CPA firm, Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice, or professional accounting provider.
• Software Mastery: Strong hands-on proficiency in QuickBooks Online (exposure to Xero and cloud accounting platforms is a strong advantage).
• Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles, month-end close workflows, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement structures.
• Core Competencies: Exposure to Budget vs. Actual reporting and cash flow tracking, excellent English written and verbal communication skills, and obsessive attention to detail for managing multiple client accounts concurrently.
