Job summary

HS Hiring Solutions Inc. is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to oversee boiler operations at our Ormoc City facility.

The role requires ensuring safe, efficient boiler performance, coordinating with production, and aligning maintenance schedules with regulatory standards. The candidate will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, SHE, and external service providers to maintain compliance with DENR and national standards, while driving continuous improvements in boiler efficiency and

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer with strong boiler expertise.
• Experience in routine boiler inspection and maintenance.
• Proven ability to plan preventive maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily boiler operations to ensure all parameters are met.
• Coordinate with production for steam requirements of the plant.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical groups for boiler repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with MPIC on rice hull supply.
• Ensure smoke emission is controlled at all times.
• Schedule smoke stack sampling for DENR compliance with SHE Head.
• Advise management on boiler improvements.
• Coordinate with 3rd party service provider for boiler water treatment.

Operate the boiler efficiently and effectively

Prepares Standard Operating Procedure for the guide in boiler operation.

Prepares plan for Preventive Maintenance shutdown activities

Prepares daily and weekly boiler reports

Key Contacts

Internal

• Works with the plant manager for strategic and operational direction
• Works closely with all internal stakeholders in planning for operation and repairs

External

• Works with government agencies and company recognized regulatory bodies on matters of determining activities for compliance to national, local and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitors daily operations of boiler ensuring that all parameters are meet.
• Coordinates with production on the steam requirements of the plant.
• Coordinates with mechanical and electrical group on the needed repair and preventive maintenance of the boiler.
• Coordinate with MPIC on the supply of rice hull.
• Ensure that smoke emission is controlled all the time.
• Coordinate with SHE Head on the schedule of smoke stack sampling for DENR compliance.
• Advises management on the appropriate improvements needed by the boiler.
• Coordinate with 3° party service provider for boiler water treatment

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer, preferable a Professional Mechanical Engineer

At least 3 years' experience in boiler
