Job summary

The/Nudge Institute is collaborating with the Meghalaya Government Innovation Lab and MSRLS to scale its graduation approach, targeting ultra-poor families and women. The role is field-based, requiring mobilization, capacity building, and linkage to government entitlements and credit facilities.

Candidates should have development sector experience, English and local language proficiency, and be prepared for district/block-level work within Meghalaya.

Qualifications

• Preference shall be given to women candidates, candidates from ST/SC social categories and belonging to the state.
• Must have working knowledge of English and local language (read, speak and write).
• Position is transferable within Meghalaya with at least 15 days notice.

Responsibilities

• Pure fieldwork in close coordination with the District and Block Project Managers of MSRLS, district and block staff of State Government departments, local community leaders, and community institutions.
• Understand and practice The/Nudge Spirits and MSRLS principles.
• Mobilize vulnerable women into small groups and SHG.
• Select and capacity build community cadre for facilitation support.
• Facilitate access to government entitlements and social security schemes.
• Support livelihood planning and access to formal credit/loans for start-up activities.
• Capacitate community institutions and cadres for long-term welfare and ownership.
• Ensure activities are implemented on time per PIP/SoP/PoP/COM; collect data and develop case studies.
• Maintain good stakeholder relationships at grassroots level.
