Cardinal Santos Medical Center is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Coordinator responsible for overall coordination of hospital biomedical equipment to ensure maximum operability and minimum downtime. The role includes evaluating, installing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, handling trouble calls, and training End Users.
The position requires a B.S. in Electronics & Communications Engineering, a valid PRC license as Electronics Engineer/Technician, and at least 1 year of related experience
Responsible for overall coordination of all health care equipment / machines of the hospital ensuring maximum operability/availability, minimum downtime, strict observance of preventive maintenance activities.
Evaluation and assessment of new biomedical equipment by conducting dry run/stress testing’s; ensuring adherence to medical equipment checklists compliance to medical standard parameter.
Supervision and Installation of new biomedical equipment by establishing, adjustment, calibration, and testing of medical equipment.
Maintains biomedical equipment by ensure that all medical equipment are maintained on time thru comprehensive PM Plan and program, completing preventive maintenance schedules; conducting series of testing’s.
Attend to trouble calls, repair and maintenance by following manufacturer’s instructions and coordination with the service provider for major and minor repair and PM services.
Orientation on biomedical equipment operation by providing equipment operation demonstrations; instructing other healthcare staff in use
and care of equipment; answering questions; providing information and documentations.
Evaluate new biomedical equipment to be acquired by conducting evaluation and assessment in terms of technical specifications required by the hospital.
Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating/predicting needs of consumable parts; placing and evaluate orders
Provide medical equipment orientation to all End Users for the new equipment.
Preparation of reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and data archiving.
Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests; recommending and complying with procedures; training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel.
Ensure that all Medical Equipment are calibrated.
Conducts PM on medical owned equipment with no service contract. Proper coordination with the vendor for loaned medical equipment with existing service contract, under warranty and with service contract medical equipment.
Committed to the expectation of internal customers towards good service related to medical equipment.
Monitoring of Vendors Performance thru medical equipment services.
Updating the End Users for the status of Medical Equipment repair and maintenance
Completion of Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
Preferably with valid PRC license as Electronics Engineer and/or Technician
At least a year of working experience in the related field is preferred for this position, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
