Job summary

Samsung C&T Philippines, Corp. is seeking a BIM Modeler for the Philippines Office (BGC, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig). The role turns 2D drawings into 3D BIM data to support precise quantity estimation, scheduling and coordination under the BIM Coordinator and HQ BIM Team.

The candidate will develop and maintain BIM content for building services (MEP) and produce model exports for shop drawings, with site support for data extraction and quantity take-offs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the AEC industry with hands-on BIM modeling.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD; familiarity with BIM 360 or ACC.
• Fluent in English for technical negotiations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• BIM Modeling: create/modify BIM models reflecting scope of work and changes.
• MEP BIM Modeling: develop detailed Revit MEP models and content.
• BIM Data Utilize: export 2D drawings from models and support quantities.

Role Description

The BIM Modeler focuses on the hands-on production of BIM models and data. Under the guidance of the BIM Coordinator and HQ BIM Team, this role transforms 2D drawings into 3D BIM data to support precise quantity estimation, scheduling and coordination.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• BIM Modeling

  • Creates/modifies BIM models to reflect the latest scope of work, including but not limited to, Request for Information responses, Architect Instruction /Site Instruction, Change Orders, Coordination, engineering, value engineering, as-built conditions and as needed by the project team
  • Creates/modifies Autodesk Revit® families for use in models.
  • Creates/modifies model elements to granularity required to aid in the production of 4D animations (e.g., splitting floor slabs into pour zones) and 5D requirements.

• MEP BIM Modeling

  • Develop and maintain detailed Revit MEP models for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and related building services systems.
  • Generate accurate BIM content including ducts, pipes, fittings, cable trays, conduits, equipment and accessories based on design documentation.
  • Create and maintain parametric Revit families for MEP equipment and project-specific components.

• BIM Data Utilize

  • Exports model based 2D Drawings (e.g., plan views, section views, elevation views, 3d views) for production of shop drawings.
  • Support the site team with digital data extraction, such as accurate Quantity Take-Offs (QTD), Visualization materials.
  • Travel to and support sites directly for short term and long-term durations based on site needs.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Software Proficiency: Proficient in navigating Autodesk Navisworks Manage (basic knowledge of Clash Detective module a plus), Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD. Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for model sharing and document control. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Project) for reporting and scheduling.

• Ability to interpret MEP design drawings, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams and equipment schedules.

• Language: Fluency in English (written/verbal) is mandatory for high-level technical negotiations and reporting.

Qualification and Experience

• Education: Degree, Diploma, or Higher Diploma, bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, MEP or a related construction field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience AEC industry experience, with at least 1 year of hands-on BIM modeling.
