Job summary

The role focuses on invoicing, document management, reconciliation, and reporting in collaboration with the Billing Lead and other departments. Ideal candidates have basic knowledge of HMO billing, proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HMO billing procedures and medical terminologies.
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Prior experience in billing, healthcare, or a related field is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in billing or healthcare administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Preparation: Assist in generating and issuing accurate invoices for HMO clients and healthcare providers based on contractual agreements and services rendered.
• Documentation Management: Ensure all billing-related documents, such as claims, payments, and adjustments, are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling billing statements with payments received and identifying any discrepancies.
• Customer Support: Handle billing inquiries from clients and healthcare providers, resolving issues related to invoices, payments, and coverage.
• Reporting: Prepare regular billing reports and summaries for the Billing Lead, highlighting trends, outstanding balances, and any significant issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Billing Lead, finance, customer service, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth billing operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all billing practices comply with internal policies, HMO regulations, and relevant healthcare laws.
• Assistance in Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing requested billing information and documentation.
• Process Improvement: Provide input on process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing activities.
