Job summary

APL Logistics in the Philippines seeks a Finance/Accounts Payable Assistant to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices within SLAs and to support the team with data extraction and reporting. The role requires a Diploma or higher in business/finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work under pressure, including night shifts as needed.

Candidate must have strong analytical skills and accounting knowledge.
Shipping / Logistics knowledge is preferred.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Proficient in Excel, Access and database querying.

Responsibilities

Ensures accurate and complete customized statement billings to customers within SLAs.
Ensures timeliness and accuracy of accounting entries input to system.
Updates GFF system with cheque numbers and amounts to release cargo within 4 hours (2 hours for urgent cases).
Monitors emails and resolves freight cashier communications daily.
Resolves billing disputes promptly to avoid delayed collections.
Creates and processes credit memos, invoice voiding and invoice uploads.
