Job summary

ZigZag Philippines is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Procurement Specialist to support supplier sourcing, purchasing, and procurement activities. You will work closely with manufacturers and suppliers in China, coordinate purchasing requirements, and help ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations, plus professional Mandarin and English communication.

Qualifications

• Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with manufacturers, factories, and suppliers in China regarding purchasing requirements, quotations, production, and deliveries.
• Source suitable products, materials, manufacturers, and suppliers based on business requirements.
• Request and compare supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other supplier arrangements.
• Prepare and coordinate purchase orders and follow up with suppliers throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively follow up on potential delays.
• Coordinate shipment requirements and track orders through to delivery.
• Work with suppliers to address product quality concerns, incorrect orders, production issues, and delivery delays.
• Maintain organized supplier information, purchasing records, quotations, and procurement documentation.
• Support supplier onboarding and ongoing supplier performance reviews.

• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a closely related role.
• Hands‑on experience communicating and coordinating with Chinese manufacturers, factories, or suppliers.
• Strong supplier communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience requesting quotations and negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier terms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several suppliers, purchase orders, and deadlines at the same time.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with international teams.
