Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in category management, procurement or purchasing within the manufacturing, transport, logistics or FMCG sectors
• Proven track record of successful supplier management, negotiations and contract management
• Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable strategies
• Experience in beverage or food manufacturing industries is highly desirable
• Knowledge of inventory management systems, demand planning and supply chain optimisation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working across multiple departments
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field
• Familiarity with procurement processes, cost analysis and margin management
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and process improvements

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for hot and non-alcoholic beverages, including market analysis, competitive positioning and growth initiatives
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, pricing agreements and service level agreements to optimise cost and quality
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory management best practices to minimise stockouts, overstock situations and waste
• Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and threats within the hot and non-alcoholic beverage sectors
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source products, evaluate suppliers and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Analyse category performance metrics, including volume, margin, market share and customer satisfaction, and develop actionable insights for improvement
• Lead cross-functional projects with sales, marketing, operations and finance teams to drive category initiatives and commercial objectives
• Manage product portfolio optimisation, including the evaluation of new products and the rationalisation of underperforming lines
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards and company policies within the beverage category
• Prepare regular reporting and forecasts on category performance, risks and opportunities for senior management
