AboitizPower is seeking a Construction Lead in Lapu-Lapu to plan, organize, coordinate, and control all on-site construction activities for our Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

You will lead field teams, manage contractors, ensure safety, budget discipline, and schedule adherence, partnering with the Project Manager and cross-functional groups to deliver reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in project execution within power generation or energy storage systems (BESS).
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience supervising field teams, contractors, and cross-functional site personnel.

Responsabilités

• Take end-to-end responsibility for executing the site construction scope from NTP through testing, commissioning and commercial operations.
• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day performance of General Contractors and sub-contractors, align timelines with material delivery, resolve bottlenecks.
• Oversee QA/QC programs, validate testing procedures for materials and structural components, ensure adherence to project specs and building codes.
• Manage construction budgets, review contractor invoices, evaluate change orders, and determine cost-effective methods during constructability reviews.
• Identify construction risks, prepare mitigation plans, manage RFIs and submittals, and provide status updates to leadership.
• Direct site construction supervisors, inspectors, and testing personnel; enforce IMS and EHS programs; promote a safe, high-performing field culture.
