Job summary

Philippine Batteries Incorporated is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in our automotive battery production facility. You will oversee operators, technicians, and team leaders to meet targets, ensure safety, and maintain process controls.

The role involves working with battery formation processes, chemical handling, and applying statistical analysis and Kaizen to improve productivity and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience in chemical handling or chemical processes preferred.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering concepts; battery formation experience is an advantage.
• Good understanding of chemistry and chemical reactions.
• Knowledge of chemical and acid handling and process management.
• Basic to working knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Good foundation in statistics and statistical process analysis.
• Experience supervising production personnel or leading manufacturing teams preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead production workforce to maintain productivity, discipline, safety, and teamwork.
• Support battery formation and chemical processes.
• Apply engineering knowledge in critical stages with process controls.
• Solve production and quality problems using data, MSA, and root-cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Participate in Kaizen and process improvement initiatives.
