Business Process Outsourcing International, Inc. is recruiting an Accounting Director to lead our accounting and financial control functions in a banking-focused environment.

You will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, while guiding a finance team and partnering with senior leadership. The role emphasizes strong banking knowledge, governance, and process improvements to ensure accurate reporting and strategic financial support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, accounting, or finance, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Solid experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and financial processes.
• Extensive knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards applicable to the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Experience working with internal/external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Proven experience in leading and managing Finance/Accounting teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the financial controlling and accounting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
• Manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve financial controls, accounting policies, procedures, and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accounting operations including General Ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, treasury-related accounting, and period-end closing.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide meaningful insights to senior management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, records, and accounting systems.
• Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and other financial stakeholders during audits and reviews.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Finance and Accounting team, including coaching and development.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and process automation.
• Stay updated on changes in banking regulations and accounting standards and assess impact.
