Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist in preparation and production of breads, pastries, cakes and desserts.
• Follow recipes and instructions from Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Ensure proper baking temperatures, cooking times and product consistency.
• Store raw materials and finished products per food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by weighing, measuring, mixing, and portioning.
• Assist with dough preparation, mixing, kneading and proofing.
• Decorate and finish cakes, pastries, and desserts per presentation standards.
• Keep workstation, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized and follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Minimize waste and support bakery during busy periods and events.
