Job summary

GoKwik is hiring a Software Development Engineer - II to design and scale backend systems powering checkout, payments, and post-purchase features. You’ll own services end-to-end, guide architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while delivering high-performance, reliable software.

Expect collaboration across Node.js, Go, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, React/Svelte frontend work as needed. You will contribute to cloud infrastructure on AWS, strengthen CI/CD pipelines, and improve system

Qualifications

• Experience with backend services using Node.js and NestJS; Go for some services.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and Kafka.
• Ability to design event-driven architectures and scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services across tech stack.
• Own end-to-end features and drive architecture decisions.
• Mentor Associate Engineers and SDE I; review code and improve practices.
• Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Svelte) when needed.
• Strengthen CI/CD, observability, and AWS-based infrastructure.
