Job summary

NCS Group is seeking a Backend Developer to lead the end-to-end web development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and maintain high-quality software applications. You will work across frontend and backend technologies to deliver scalable APIs and user-friendly interfaces.

Responsibilities include design, development, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization, with active participation in agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• UI: HTML, CSS, JavaScript knowledge across frameworks.
• Backend: proficiency in C#, Java or Python and JS frameworks (Angular/React/Node.js).
• Databases: MySQL and MongoDB experience; familiarity with web servers.
• Understanding of containerization, CI/CD and DevSecOps.

As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for managing the entire web development process, from frontend to backend, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.

Job Accountabilities

• Design and develop high-quality web applications using frontend and backend technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, SMEs and UX designers to understand requirements and create functional and user-friendly features.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern web development languages and frameworks to produce effective APIs and user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimization and database tuning.
• Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups.
• Compliance
• Ensure that all company policies, procedures, programs and instruction are carried out
• Must report all compliance matters openly and honestly to their Compliance Officer in accordance with the reporting requirements operated by the Compliance Officer.
• Must operate a process within his/her department to ensure that all relevant compliance matters are identified and reported.

Minimum Qualifications

Intermediate to Advance in 2 or more per category and or expert in at least in 1

• UI - Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Backend - Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Databases - Familiarity with databases in both RDBMS and NoSQL(e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• With proficient understanding of how containerization, CICD and DevSecOps works.
