Job summary

Surepay Technologies Inc. is seeking a back-end developer to design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs, ensuring scalable and secure services.

You will collaborate with front-end teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, review code, optimize performance, and document back-end systems while staying current with new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Manage databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and system analysts to define technical requirements.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system vulnerabilities.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for back-end systems and APIs.
• Ensure all developed systems comply with company security, privacy, and quality standards.
• Support deployment and monitoring of back-end services in production environments.
• Coordinate with the QA team on test planning, defect resolution, and system validation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
• Attend certification trainings or schooling as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
