Job summary

Surepay Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced back-end developer to design, implement, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations. You will build RESTful APIs, optimize microservices, and ensure data security across systems.

The role involves collaboration with frontend teams, code reviews, and participation in Agile ceremonies to deliver robust backend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in back-end software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side application logic, APIs, and database integrations.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for front-end and third-party integrations.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and system analysts to define technical requirements.
• Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system vulnerabilities.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for back-end systems and APIs.
• Ensure systems comply with security, privacy, and quality standards.
• Support deployment and monitoring of back-end services in production.
• Coordinate with QA on test planning, defect resolution, and system validation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Attend certification trainings or schooling as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the President.
