Job summary

Macquarie Group in Manila is seeking a Cloud Engineer/DevOps to support and evolve cloud platforms using AWS and Confluent Kafka. You’ll work closely with platform tenants and engineering teams to ensure reliability, performance and security of critical systems.

You will monitor platform performance, contribute to incident management and disaster recovery, and drive automation across the central platform in a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Cloud/DevOps with strong AWS experience.
• Solid knowledge of compute, storage, networking and security on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
• Exposure to messaging platforms such as Confluent Kafka is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana) and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support cloud infrastructure and platform services, focused on AWS and Confluent Kafka.
• Design scalable cloud solutions, enhance automation, and onboard new technologies.
• Participate in incident management, on-call rotations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with platform tenants and engineering teams to ensure reliability and security.
