Job summary

Partner Company in Mexico is seeking a mid‑level AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize AWS environments for diverse client needs. This role blends hands‑on infrastructure with advisory duties, enabling influence over cloud architecture and implementation.

You will utilize IaC, CI/CD, containers, and automation to build scalable cloud systems, while improving security and cost efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cloud Engineer, AWS Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related infrastructure role.
• Hands-on experience deploying and configuring AWS resources in production or client environments.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Practical experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience configuring Kubernetes clusters and deploying containerized apps.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking, VPCs, and cloud security principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues with structured analysis.
• Experience optimizing AWS performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain modular cloud-based systems in AWS environments.
• Advise clients on design and implementation of AWS cloud technologies.
• Analyze and resolve deployment and infrastructure issues across environments.
• Automate provisioning/configuration using IaC and config management practices.
• Implement CI/CD processes with GitLab, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
• Configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for app deployments.
• Design secure AWS networking (VPCs, controls).
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and cost.
