Job summary

VA Platinum in Cebu City, Philippines is seeking a Cloud Engineer to own and improve AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability in a fintech environment. You will focus on secure, reliable deployments and boosting developer experience.

You will work on design and maintenance of secure cloud systems, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security guardrails, and monitoring. Onsite at IT Park, Cebu City; strong Python/TypeScript exposure preferred; hands-on with Terraform, CloudFormation, and

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE environments.
• Hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Strong scripting, automation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Preferably with software development exposure in PHP, Python, or TypeScript.
• Preferably with experience in fintech, regulated environments, or data platforms.
• Amenable to working onsite in our Cebu Site (IT Park, Cebu City)

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Implement cloud security guardrails and DevSecOps practices.
• Manage multiple AWS account environments and improve system performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Support vulnerability management and automated patching processes.
• Maintain documentation, standards, and cloud best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
