Axos seeks an experienced accounting leader to guide a team through core accounting operations and the close process. You will ensure journal entries and reconciliations are accurate while upholding internal controls and GAAP compliance.
The role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and timely remediation of findings to ensure reliable financial reporting across close cycles.
Leads a team executing core accounting operations; owns the close process, ensures journal entries and reconciliations are accurate, and maintains consistent application of internal controls. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned processes or entities. Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules for accuracy and completeness. Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Directly manage, coach, and develop accounting staff. Own execution of key internal controls and drive timely remediation of findings. Demonstrates effective team leadership by managing individual and team performance, coaching employees, and fostering engagement to ensure consistent execution and delivery.
