Job summary

M&G is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Fund Accounting Oversight Specialist - Private Assets in Mumbai, aligned to UK hours. You will lead NAV oversight and fund accounting reporting, engaging with offshore partners and ensuring effective governance across private asset structures.

The role demands 10–15 years in financial services with strong supervisory experience, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in financial services with at least 8 years in fund accounting oversight.
• Experience supervising teams in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of UK/Ireland/Luxembourg regulations and standards.
• Experience with outsourced/TPA oversight and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the oversight team for NAV oversight and fund financial reporting oversight.
• Collaborate with offshore partners and India-based colleagues.
• Deliver BAU oversight across complex technical areas in financial reporting and fund accounting.
• Act as SME for fund accounting oversight, including financial reporting and costs & charges.
• Oversee error/risk validation, analyze control failures, and support investigations.
• Drive continuous improvements across processes, controls and oversight.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder queries.
• Build and maintain relationships with TPAs, auditors and internal partners.
• Shape and maintain the control governance framework.
