Job Summary

The Automotive Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of company vehicles and heavy equipment. The role ensures that all electrical components are functioning efficiently to support safe, reliable, and uninterrupted fleet operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Electro Mechanical Technology, or any related course
• With experience in automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and vehicle repairs
• Knowledgeable in vehicle wiring, batteries, charging systems, lighting, and electronic components
• Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
• Detail oriented with good troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in company vehicles and heavy equipment
• Install, maintain, and replace electrical components, wiring, lighting systems, and accessories
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of vehicle electrical systems
• Troubleshoot battery, alternator, starter, ignition, and charging system issues
• Ensure all repairs comply with company safety and quality standards
• Maintain service records and report completed maintenance and repair activities
• Coordinate with the Motorpool Supervisor on repair schedules and maintenance requirements
• Assist in improving vehicle reliability and minimizing equipment downtime
