Job summary

Dominion Wire and Cables PTE Limited is seeking an experienced automation engineer to support automation processes and tools across manufacturing lines. You will troubleshoot issues, implement efficient solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost automation performance.

The role requires hands-on PLC experience (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7/TIA Portal), strong HMI/SCADA skills, and knowledge of extrusion line control, motor drives, and PLC wiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation for cable production or similar continuous manufacturing.
• Hands-on with PLC platforms: Rockwell Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix), Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA: FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, etc.
• Knowledge of motor drives, tension controllers, and PID tuning.
• Understanding of extrusion line control and line-speed synchronization.
• Proficiency reading/developing electrical schematics and control panel layouts (AutoCAD, EPLAN).
• Familiarity with industrial network configuration, Ethernet switches, and remote I/O.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for automation processes and tools.
• Assist in troubleshooting automation issues and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation efficiency.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies.
