Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Lead Consultant, QA Automation Tester (Playwright/Python) to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and tests across API and UI layers. You will collaborate with product management and development teams to ensure robust coverage and high-quality releases.

The role requires strong Playwright and Python skills, SQL experience, and a track record in automation, performance, and integration testing within enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proficiency in Playwright (preferably Python, ok with Typescript/Java Script).
• Strong Python skills.
• Experience with SQL and REST APIs (data validation and simple queries are ok).
• Tested web applications and complicated workflows.
• Experience with API/UI testing.
• Strong core testing skills with the ability to influence test approaches for repeatable testing and sustainable automation.
• Experience working on enterprise ERP platforms (preferred).
• Experience with AWS (basic cloud knowledge) (preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes (preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Potentially work on the continuous integration framework for the automation suite.
• Build automation frameworks and scripts for end-to-end testing, including API, UI, and other types of testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
