Job summary

JFE Engineering Corp. Philippine Branch is seeking an experienced Automation & Instrumentation Engineer on a contract basis to oversee design, installation and maintenance of automated control systems and instrumentation for industrial projects in Metro Manila.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical/electronics engineering, 5+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/SCADA knowledge, and leadership with excellent English communication. Competitive project-based terms are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ISA CIP) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial automation systems.
• Experience in team leadership.
• Fluent business English (verbal and written).
• Strong PLC/SCADA knowledge and instrumentation standards.
• Understanding of SIS and industrial cybersecurity basics.
• Experience with control system programming and configuration.
• Familiarity with Modbus/Profibus or similar protocols.
• Experience with control panel design and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of automated control systems.
• Develop A&I basic design, system architecture, and P&ID for A&I.
• Coordinate with clients on control logic and IO lists.
• Review vendor proposals and FAT procedures.
• Manage technical communication with vendors and clients.
• Support commissioning, SAT, and system handover.
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical and electrical teams.
• Prepare technical documents and project schedules.
• Provide regular status reports to Engineering Manager.
