Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain intelligent automation and AI solutions, leveraging RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and modern tooling. The role collaborates with business and technology teams, supports incidents, and promotes automation best practices across the squad.

You will contribute to capability development through knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring while ensuring adherence to SDLC and development standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of experience in RPA Development.
• Experience in PowerPlatform including Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms and related automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into automated solutions aligned with objectives.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain automation and AI solutions.
• Create, reuse, and maintain script libraries for efficiency.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and exception management.
• Conduct performance and regression testing for automation solutions.
• Collaborate with analysts and Scrum team to identify opportunities and ensure timely delivery.
• Follow Scrum/Agile practices and participate in all core events.
• Create and maintain documentation and training materials for automations.
• Monitor issues and escalate where necessary, coordinating with Technical Product Owner.
