Job Description
The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for solar PV installations, including rooftop and ground‑mounted systems. The role supports the engineering, project management, and installation teams by producing accurate drawings used for permits, construction, and client presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for solar PV system layouts.
- Create roof layouts, panel layouts, single‑line diagrams, and electrical drawings.
- Prepare as‑built drawings after project completion.
- Assist engineers in system design and technical documentation.
- Revise drawings based on engineering markups and site measurements.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Installation Teams.
- Ensure drawings comply with local electrical codes and standards.
- Prepare drawings for submission to obtain permits and client approval.
- Perform basic solar system sizing/layout using provided data.

Qualifications
- Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, or related course.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
- Experience in solar PV drawings is an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings and single‑line diagrams is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented and organized.
- Can meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Helioscope, Aurora, or PVsyst is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of AutoCAD experience (solar industry preferred).
