Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technician.
• Automotive Servicing NCII Certification or an Associate's degree in Automotive Technology.
• Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

About the role

Manages maintenance of vehicle. Use computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspections to accurately identify vehicle malfunctions in engine, transmission, steering, and braking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions using computerized diagnostic equipment and manual inspections

• Conduct test drives and post-repair system tests to ensure all components are functioning to manufacturer and safety standards

• Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and tune-ups

• Overhaul truck engines

• Maintain facility cleanliness in motor-pool area

• Warm up generator and monitor water pump

• Coordinate with external services for repair

• Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams regarding repair timelines and maintenance schedules

About you

• Proven hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or similar automotive technician role
