Overview
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Communicate with clients to explain vehicle issues, provide estimates, and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Utilize hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services performed, parts used, labor hours, and any additional repairs.
Qualifications
- Education & Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an accredited mechanic program or vocational school preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and knowledge of automotive repair techniques.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in awkward positions, and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to quickly identify and fix mechanical issues.
