Job summary

Development Strategist Int\'l Consulting Inc. is seeking an Auto Mechanic in Metro Manila to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, performing preventive maintenance and inspections.

You will read manuals, advise drivers, source parts, keep records, and ensure safety procedures are followed. A valid driver’s license and NC II in Automotive Servicing are preferred. Candidates with at least 1 year of experience and strong attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• NC II Certification in Automotive Servicing is an advantage.
• Holder of a valid Professional Driver’s License (Restriction Code 1, 2).
• At least 1 year of experience as Auto Mechanic or similar role.
• Knowledgeable in vehicle inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose vehicle mechanical issues and perform timely and accurate repairs.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical problems and determine necessary repairs.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance, including oil and fluid replacement, lubrication, and other necessary servicing.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, or replace faulty vehicle components and parts.
• Perform routine checks on the engine, brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, and other mechanical systems.
• Conduct tests after repairs to ensure that the vehicle is in safe and proper working condition.
• Read and interpret vehicle repair manuals and technical specifications.
• Advise drivers on proper vehicle operation and basic vehicle care.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good and safe working condition.
• Identify and source appropriate replacement parts and materials.
• Provide estimates of required parts, materials, and repair costs before starting major repairs, when required.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and proper vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Keep updated on automotive repair techniques and attend technical training or workshops as required.
• Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.

• Possesses good industry knowledge, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual and technical tasks.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
