Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance or related field.
• CPA certification is an advantage.
• At least three years of audit experience including leading assignments.
• Pawnshop/financial services multi-branch audit experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, investigative, interviewing, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and audit documentation.
• Willingness to travel regularly for field audits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing audit plans based on risks.
• Plan assignments, prepare work programs, allocate tasks.
• Conduct cash counts, inventory checks, reconciliation testing.
• Verify pledged items, pawn loans, redemptions, and rematado transactions.
• Assess compliance with policies, procedures, and limits.
• Review working papers for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, and potential irregular activity.
• Discuss findings with responsible personnel and prepare audit reports.
• Track corrective actions and verify implementation.
• Maintain confidentiality and report through approved channels.
