Job summary

Westside Resort is seeking a skilled AV technician to install, operate, and maintain audio-visual and BGM systems in Ballrooms, Boardrooms, and Function Rooms. You will ensure show-ready condition, align projectors, hang lighting, and secure cables for a clean, professional guest experience.

You will configure conferencing and presentation systems in Executive Boardrooms, perform diagnostics, and support during events, with a focus on reliability and high-quality output for corporate gatherings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Associate's Degree in Broadcast Engineering (or related field) preferred.
• 2+ years of technical experience in Audio Visual Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Hang lighting, set up speakers, and align projectors in Ballrooms and Function Rooms per technical plots.
• Configure video conferencing and presentation systems for Executive Boardrooms.
• Secure and hide all cabling in Function Rooms for a clean, professional look.
• Operate mixers and lighting boards for Ballroom events and upload BGM files for Function Room foyers.
• Perform daily walks to monitor BGM levels and visual clarity in Boardrooms and Function corridors.
• Assist in reviewing signal diagrams for Ballroom setups to ensure efficient cabling.

About the role

To provide skilled technical labor for the installation, operation, and maintenance of AV and BGM systems in Ballrooms, Boardrooms, and Corporate Function Rooms. To execute setups with precision, operate boardroom tech flawlessly, and maintain property hardware in peak "Show-Ready" condition.

Key responsibilities

• Hang lighting, set up speakers, and align projectors in Ballrooms and Function Rooms per technical plots

• Configure video conferencing and presentation systems specifically for Executive Boardrooms

• Secure and hide all cabling in Function Rooms to maintain a clean, professional aesthetic for corporate guests

• Operate mixers and lighting boards for Ballroom galas; upload BGM files for Function Room foyers

• Perform daily walks to monitor BGM levels and visual clarity in Boardrooms and Function corridors

• Perform "first-look" diagnostics for connectivity or audio issues during Executive meetings

• Assist in reviewing signal diagrams for Ballroom setups to ensure efficient cabling and hazard-free runs

• Assist in the organized transport of gear to Ballrooms and Function Rooms avoiding guest disruption

• Verify all assigned gear is functional and clean before leaving the workshop for the Boardrooms

• Maintain precise check-out/check-in logs for all gear used in Ballroom and Function events

About you

• High School Diploma (required)

• Associate's Degree in Broadcast Engineering or a related field (preferred)

• 2+ years of technical experience in Audio Visual Technology or a related field

• Shows flexibility in adjusting to different work schedules
