Holden Accountants, a multi-generational firm established in 2005, seeks a remote bookkeeper to support our Australian client base from the Philippines. You’ll handle end-to-end bookkeeping with autonomy while collaborating with an experienced team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in Australian public practice.
• Solid grasp of Australian bookkeeping standards, BAS/IAS, and payroll.
• Proficiency with Xero; MYOB or QuickBooks is a bonus.
• Strong attention to detail and self-management.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle bookkeeping in Xero (occasional MYOB or QuickBooks).
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Data entry from bank feeds, source documents, and client uploads.
• Accounts payable and receivable.
• IAS and BAS preparation (reviewed and lodged by a senior accountant).
• Journal entries and end-of-month adjustments.
• Assisting with payroll and STP filings.
• Supporting migration of client files from MYOB to Xero.
• Help refine and document workflows for the wider team.
• General admin support and ad hoc reconciliations.

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced, detail‑driven bookkeeper based in the Philippines to support our Australian client base as part of our growing remote team. You’ll handle end‑to‑end bookkeeping with real autonomy, while still having a collaborative, experienced team around you to lean on.

This is the ideal next step for someone who already knows Australian bookkeeping inside and out, works confidently without handholding, and wants to keep growing their expertise alongside a firm that values long‑term relationships over quick turnover.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping in Xero (occasional MYOB or QuickBooks)
