Job summary

ICB Outsourcing is seeking an experienced AU Bookkeeper to handle day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping and admin support for an Australian plumbing business. Key tasks include Xero bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, invoicing, payroll support, BAS/GST preparation and month-end processes.

The successful candidate will have strong English communication, attention to detail and experience with ServiceM8, and be comfortable liaising with Australian clients, suppliers and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in Australian accounting, GST/BAS and bookkeeping processes.
• Proficient with Xero and ServiceM8.
• Experience supporting Australian plumbing/construction/trade-services business is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping transactions in Xero.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process supplier bills, payments, expenses and invoices.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices.
• Monitor debtor collections and follow up as needed.
• Maintain general ledger and financial records.
• Assist with payroll processing and reconciliations.
• Assist with BAS/GST preparation and workpapers.
• Support month-end procedures and reconciliations.
• Prepare management reports for internal and external accountants.
• Coordinate information between ServiceM8 and Xero.
