Job summary

DBA Advisory is seeking an Associate SMSF Accountant to join the Superannuation team in the Philippines. The role focuses on fund accounting, reconciling assets and liabilities, and liaising with clients to resolve reconciliation queries.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of SMSF accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and familiarity with SMSF software like BGL 360, BGL Simple Fund, and XPlan. Willingness to be assigned to Subic Bay Freeport Zone is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Accountancy or equivalent.
• CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
• Has 1–3 years of experience in SMSF accounting.
• Experience in public accounting/audit firm (Big 4 preferred) will be highly regarded.
• Has extensive knowledge of SMSF accounting software, e.g. BGL 360, BGL Simple Fund, XPlan, etc.

Responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting about the Fund.
• Process cash transactions and reconcile bank account(s).
• Reconcile assets, liabilities, and investments.
• Liaise with clients for reconciliation portfolio queries.
• Prepare a list of queries and request additional documents required in order to reconcile the Fund’s accounts on a monthly basis.
• Review Financial Accounts regularly.
• Other ad hoc tasks as required by the client.

As an Associate SMSF Accountant, your duties and responsibilities include:
