Job summary

SC Johnson Philippines ROHQ is seeking a Logistics Improvement Lead to drive efficiency in warehousing and transportation. You will lead Lean projects, analyze costs, and manage RFPs for major logistics services across regional networks.

The role requires 5+ years in Lean/Continuous Improvement within Logistics, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and experience with WMS (SAP HANA). A degree in engineering or related field is required, and leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics management, or data science field.
• Minimum 5 years of Lean / Continuous Improvement experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Operations, FMCG preferred.
• At least 3 years in a people management or leadership role.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Power Apps, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-saving and service-improvement projects for warehousing and transportation.
• Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste in warehousing processes.
• Benchmark 3rd party costs and services using Cost to Serve methods.
• Conduct regional network optimization studies with SCJ partners.
• Support tendering or re-tendering of 3rd party services and manage RFP processes for major LSPs.
• Evaluate new tools aligned with the digitization agenda and own logistics SOPs across processes.
• Assist Regional Operations Manager with KPI management and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, dangerous goods, and import/export regulations.
• Partner with Customer Supply Chain to deliver business priorities in Logistics Operations.
• Lead warehouse or transportation transition projects using SCJ framework.
• Develop logistics team capability in analytics and project management.

Summary:

Responsible for identifying and delivering improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of Logistics and Transport Management, working closely with the cluster Logistics Operations Leads and the Regional Transportation team, and other stakeholders in Supply Chain organization. This role is flexible to be located in MY or PH subject to the shortlisted candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead major cost saving / service improvement projects relating to warehousing and transportation.

• To use Lean principles and tools to systematically eliminate waste in the warehousing processes.

• To support the analysis and benchmarking of 3rd party related costs and service across the Logistics & Transportation team including use of Cost to Serve methodology.

• Conduct network optimization studies in the region, working with either internal or external SCJ partners.

• To provide analytical input for the tendering or re-tendering of 3rd party services as required and project manage the RFP process for major LSP tenders.

• Evaluate new tools / software in accordance with digitization agenda of the company.

• To be the Process Owner for the Logistics SOPs used within the process framework, and to act as an auditor in an audit program across all clusters to ensure process compliance and to share best practice between countries and identify improvement opportunities.

• To support the Regional Operations Manager in the KPI management and review across the team and challenge performance against KPI's and provide Close The Loop for any off track KPI.

• To all logistics hub operations are operated in full compliance to all relevant SCJ and country legal standards regarding health and safety, environmental, dangerous goods management, transport, GEN24 and import / export regulations.

• To be partner with Customer Supply Chain to ensure the business priorities are delivered in Logistics Operations.

• Lead any Warehouse or Transportation transition projects using SCJ transition framework.

• Develop the team capability in Logistics especially in the analytical thinking and project management.

• People Management & Development:

  • Managed subordinate activities to be flexible and supportive to the whole department goal.

  • Provide good motivation and coaching subordinate to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate work process.

  • Improve the people capability by launching the training & lean program.

  • Identify talent and help them to improve their skill or performance, also develop the candidate for higher position.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics management, Data science field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Lean / Continuous Improvement within Logistics or Supply Chain Operations. Experienced in FMCG industry is preferred

• At least 3 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Apps, and Power BI.

• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably SAP HANA.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools and technologies for supply chain analytics, process optimization, simulation, forecasting, or operational modelling.

• Professional certifications related to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Project Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, APICS/CPIM, PMP, Microsoft Power Platform certifications) will be an added advantage.
