Ongchuan-Javelosa Law Offices in Quezon City seeks an experienced lawyer with a focus on energy regulatory matters. The role involves drafting contracts and opinions, conducting legal research, and representing clients in hearings and conferences.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in energy-sector work, strong drafting and analytical skills, and is comfortable in a hybrid work environment within the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
• At least two (2) years of legal experience in the Philippine energy sector, including experience with energy regulatory matters, project development, or transactions
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
• Experience in litigation, corporate, commercial, or regulatory practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• High ethical standards and commitment to client confidentiality
• Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment

Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts, pleadings, legal opinions, and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct legal research and develop legal strategies.
• Handle litigation and appear before courts, regulatory agencies, and quasi-judicial bodies.
• Represent clients during hearings, meetings, and conferences.
