Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer in Metro Manila to build engaging learning experiences for health care teams. You will design end-to-end curricula, develop eLearning modules, and work with SMEs to align content with business goals.

You will use Storyline 360 or Rise 360, apply adult learning principles, and evaluate outcomes with robust assessments, rubrics, and analytics to improve learner impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• Any course or equivalent experience.
• College Graduate/ Highschool Graduate/ SHS Graduate.
• 2+ years of Instructional Design experience or Content Development experience.
• 1+ year experience using Storyline 360 or Rise 360.
• Proven excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Learning Needs Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
• Curriculum and Course Design: Design end-to-end learning journeys, including curriculum maps, learning paths, and modular structures.
• Content Development: Develop engaging learning materials such as eLearning modules, videos, simulations, and assessments.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Design formative and summative assessments, rubrics, quizzes, case studies, and certification mock exams.
• Learning Technology Integration: Work with LMS platforms to deploy and manage learning content; integrate adaptive learning, gamification, and analytics.
• Project Management and Collaboration: Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications; collaborate with SMEs, trainers, and developers; maintain documentation and version control.
• Compliance: Adhere to employment contract terms, policies, and directives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Learning Needs Analysis

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning objectives

  • Conduct learner profiling and audience analysis to tailor content effectively

  • Analyze job roles, tasks, and competencies to align training with business outcomes

• Curriculum and Course Design

  • Design end-to-end learning journeys, including curriculum maps, learning paths, and modular structures

  • Develop instructional strategies that support adult learning principles, including blended, self-paced, and instructor-led formats

  • Create storyboards, scripts, and course outlines that guide content development

• Content Development

  • Develop engaging and interactive learning materials such as eLearning modules, videos, simulations, and assessments

  • Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Rise) to build digital content

  • Ensure content is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with organizational standards and compliance requirements

• Assessment and Evaluation

  • Design formative and summative assessments to measure learner progress and program effectiveness

  • Create rubrics, quizzes, case studies, and certification mock exams

  • Analyze assessment data to refine instructional strategies and improve learner outcomes

• Learning Technology Integration

  • Work with LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, Thought Industries) to deploy and manage learning content

  • Integrate tools for adaptive learning, gamification, and analytics to enhance learner engagement

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure content compatibility across devices

• Project Management and Collaboration

  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications throughout the design lifecycle

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and developers to ensure instructional accuracy and relevance

  • Maintain documentation and version control for all instructional assets
