Job summary

SGV & Co. is seeking a Full Stack Developer in the Philippines to drive digital transformation for clients. You will collaborate with business analysts, designers and project managers to deliver scalable web and mobile solutions using modern frameworks and WordPress.

The role emphasizes database design, testing, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on Java experience, strong English communication, and a willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IT, Statistics or equivalent.
• 1–2 years as a Full Stack Developer with Java experience.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and be on-call as required.

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Analysts, development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
• Build the front-end of applications with appealing visuals.
• Develop and manage databases and applications.

Job Summary

As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation solutions for our client. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects that empower businesses to streamline their processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive growth through cutting-edge technologies.

Your key responsibilities

As a Full Stack Developer, you will:

• Work closely with Business Analyst, development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Build features and applications with a web/mobile responsive design
• Unit test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation

Skills and attributes for success

• Knowledge of database development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX) and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and procedural improvements.
• Knowledge of mobile and web development framework and libraries (e.g. Ionic, PhoneGap, React Native, jQuery Mobile etc.)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, MS SQL, Oracle), web servers (e.g. Apache, MS IIS, NGINX, LIGHTTPD etc.)
• Familiarity using DevOps and cloud hosting (Azure, AWS etc.)
• Average communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• An analytical mind

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Statistics or relevant field
• For experienced candidates: 1–2 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with hands-on experience in Java.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and procedural improvements.
• Understanding and integration of cultural differences in a global work environment.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry developments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business application teams to define requirements and priorities

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience in modern web technologies, you will leverage your expertise in modern web frameworks to create innovative, cloud-native, scalable, and efficient web applications across diverse industries.
• Experience in testing and troubleshooting web applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Experience with WordPress development and administration, including themes and plugin customization.
