Job summary

Ivoclar is seeking a Full-Stack Next.js Developer to design and deliver modern web applications with a Frontend + BFF architecture using Next.js and React. You will build scalable frontend experiences and dedicated BFF services, acting as the integration layer between UIs and backend systems via APIs and events.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement AI-powered features, and mentor colleagues while ensuring robustness, performance and security across the stack.

The Full-Stack Next.js Developer is responsible for designing and delivering modern web applications based on a Frontend + Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture using Next.js and React. The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance frontend applications and dedicated BFF services for specific domains, acting as the integration layer between frontend user experiences and backend systems via APIs and event-driven communication. The developer ensures strict adherence to a layered architecture (Frontend - BFF - Message Bus - Adapters) and contributes to a composable, domain-driven platform landscape.

Your role

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve our web applications using Next.js
• Work closely with Backend Developers, Digital Excellence, UX/UI and IT Core teams in a lean, agile environment
• Integrate and evolve RESTful APIs in collaboration with backend engineers
• Write and maintain technical tests (unit, integration, e2e) to ensure reliability, security and performance
• Design and deliver AI-powered software solutions, leveraging Claude, Claude Code, Codex or similar and modern engineering best practices
• Mentor less experienced developers
• Follow the Definition of Done and team coding standards
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring and overall applications stability together with DevOps
• Implementation and fulfillment of the safety manual's requirements
• Implementation and fulfillment of the personnel handbook's requirements
• Implementation and fulfillment of the regulatory requirements
• Acts as a role model in accordance with the Corporate Values of the Ivoclar Group.

Your profile

Qualification

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Proven experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence,etc.)
• Willingness to travel

• Strong experience as a Next.js Full-Stack developer
• Expertise in TypeScript, React and Next.js
• Expertise with the modern frontend tools such as Tailwind CSS or similar
• Solid expertise integrating and working with REST APIs
• Solid expertise of Testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
• Authentication and authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT)

• Understanding of container-based development and deployment (Docker)
• Strong understanding of web performance and optimization techniques
• Experience with modern development tools and a strong interest in leveraging AI to improve development workflows

• Bachelor or Master Degree in IT Technology, or Business Informatics
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Excellent understanding of System integrations, software development lifecycle

• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Communicative and cooperative team player
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Proactive mindset, able to balance between priorities and operational execution
