Job summary

eClerx is seeking an Associate Engineer to provide engineering support across the product design and development process. You will conduct research, perform calculations, evaluate designs, and guide internal teams to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with building codes, structural, thermal, and manufacturing requirements, and working with cross-functional groups to deliver reliable, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• EIT certification or qualification required.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of 3D design software is an advantage.
• Understanding of building codes, structural engineering principles, and thermal design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with electrical concepts and basic manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of the properties and applications of steel, wood, and urethane is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations and develop steel designs for retail business applications.
• Analyze test data and technical reports to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Provide technical support in response to service, sales, marketing, and product inquiries.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from concept development through production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products per specifications.
• Evaluate product designs for functionality, manufacturability, and performance.
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings and technical records per ISO procedures.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and structural requirements.
• Provide guidance on product capabilities, limitations, and applications.
• Support continuous product improvement and contribute to engineering objectives.
